Eilean Donan
Eilean Donan translates from Gaelic as "the island of Donan". Here we see Eilean Donan Castle, majestically overlooking three lochs - Loch Long, Loch Alsh and Loch Duich.

The island was first inhabited over 800 years ago, but the present form of the castle was created between 1912-1932 when the castle was restored from a semi-ruin.
