AdrianWarren.com: Reviews: Canon EOS 400D
Lighting: Halogen (~2650K). Crops are 100%. Ambient temperature was approximately 22°C (~72°F).
ACR (v3.7) settings:
Canon EOS 400D | Canon EOS 350D |

An interesting, but somewhat mixed result here. Both cameras are still performing very similarly, ignoring the slight resolution advantage of the EOS 400D. However, if you look at the roof of the house in the first crop, there's moiré visible on the roof now. There are also step like demosaicing artifacts on the green fronds that overlay the carrots in the final crop. Those are the bad parts, but there are also improvements to be seen as well. If you look at the bird crops, there is clearly more plumage detail visible. Similarly there's more fur detail present in the cuddly toy crops here. It appears that both cameras are losing detail to noise reduction in their JPEGs even at base ISO, however the in camera processor seems to be making a better job of eliminating false colour and moiré than Adobe Camera RAW 3.7.

As you can see, there's a visible difference between the conversions. DPP appears to be applying more sharpening, but the roof of the house has none of the false colour artifacts that the ACR conversion suffers from. That said the demosaicing artifacts around the carrot are still present.
